Meet Our Founder
Hi, I’m Shayla Burtin, founder of Building Her Dream, creator of Her Dream Society, and the voice behind The Visible Introvert.
I’ve spent the last 20 years building a career in operations and human resources, helping organizations and leaders streamline systems, grow teams, and create workplaces where people can thrive. Along the way, I discovered that my real passion is helping introverted women succeed without having to change who they are.
Through Building Her Dream, I’ve built a global platform that shines a spotlight on the stories of introverted women entrepreneurs and professionals. These are women who often go unseen in traditional media and business spaces. We’ve featured hundreds of women, hosted thousands of attendees, and created a movement that proves introverts can lead, grow, and dream unapologetically.
With The Visible Introvert, I’m extending that work into new spaces helping introverts embrace visibility, build confidence, and design strategies that feel aligned with their personality and energy.
And at the heart of it all is Her Dream Society, this membership community where you don’t just learn and grow, you belong.
I’m proud to call Milwaukee, Wisconsin home. When I’m not building communities, you can usually find me hiking out in nature, curled up on the couch with Netflix, or (not so patiently) waiting for Rihanna to finally release new music.
